The thing I'm always listening for isn't a genre or a sound. It's presence. That quality in a record where the vocal feels like the person is actually there, where the song creates a world you can disappear into, where something unmistakably authentic is coming through. When I hear that,  I feel a pull - like the music is asking something of me.

 

That's the music I want to be in the room with.

​My job is never to change what makes your music yours. It's to protect what's already true in it, deepen the atmosphere around it, and bring it to a standard where the feeling and the craft are working together at the highest possible level. I'm not interested in polish for its own sake. I'm interested in records that take people somewhere.
